Black Tie Events

In keeping with the global move towards sustainability and local production, more and more clients are requesting that their events are Green. Greening a tented event is easier than you would think:

Ensure that you use LED lights to save electricity when lighting a tent
Make sure that all the food that is served is sustainable and locally produced
Use recycled products for invitations and wherever else possible
Encourage serving staff to presort recycling

But we are not just talking about climate fears here. An increasing trend in the event industry is the incorporation of plants into focal points or the creation of “living walls” of plants that form walkways or backdrops.

Black Tie:

With the amazing success of series such as “Downton Abbey” and films such as “The Great Gatsby”, Black Tie event are definitely coming back into fashion. While not every event needs to a massive blowout like those hosted by Gatsby, the idea of a formal grand dinner or event is definitely going to on many client’s wish lists this year. You can expect clients to also be asking for Classic Hollywood, Swing, Roaring Twenties and Prohibition styles events.

Art Deco:

Similar to the themes from Black Tie events, Retro Chic and Art Deco themes still continue to be very popular in the wedding industry. The glory of these events is that they are great for creating photographic moments. Try to get hand crafted items and decorations for tables or props for your guests to pose with!
